Our History

Marubeni Corporation and Itochu Corporation are both publicly traded Japanese companies, but their origins began in Ohmi in the middle of the 19th century. The Ohmi tradesmen’s principal business concept was “The Three-Way Benefit”, which was viewed as the foundation of all business. This refers to benefits for the buyer, the seller, and society. We are firmly committed to sustaining and building upon this legacy with all MISI Group employees working together as a tightly knit team in pursuit of the principles of our corporate philosophy:

  • Excelling as a first-class global company and contributing to social progress through steel distribution
  • Striving to be a dynamic company in an innovative intellectual group
  • Demonstrating our trustworthiness and honesty through understanding and respect

MITI is headquartered in Houston, Texas and was established to supply steel tubulars and related services to customers in the oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, and power generation industries.
